Celebration Day!!

It's official!! I have lost 20 pounds since joining TFTS!

I have 12.5 more pounds to lose by the end of the year. Which is, basically, 2 months. During that time, we will celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving. It is my goal to truly step up my exercise during this time (which may be difficult due to my recent injury, but I'm going to try). Even if my calorie intake goes up during a week or two, at least my calories burned will be up, too, right?

Seriously, can any of you offer an opinion - do you think it's possible to lose 12.5 pounds by the end of the year? I don't want to be unrealistic, but I do have a goal in mind.

Anyway, that's really all I have to offer this week. I've lost one pound, but it was a very important pound (that didn't sound that cheesey in my head - sorry!).

Best wishes to everyone out there!

20 pounds down!!!! woo woo!!!
As far as you losing 12.5 lbs by the end of the year... yes you can. The holidays are full of pitfalls and food traps but the thing to keep in mind is portion control, not deprevation.

Great job!

Hitting those milestones does something for me emotionally. It gives me the desire to push a little harder.

Good for you!

congrats on the weight loss. I think you can lose 12.5 pounds by the end of the year. I am sure the holidays will present many challenges-but even if you don't lose it all by the end of the year-look how far you have come!

Congratulations on another great week! I don't set time limits for my weight loss, but I do kind of project out when I might meet them. It's so hard to say what might happen between then and now. But I do look forward to seeing you meet this goal!

Congrats! Of course you can do it.

Sorry to hear about your fall...those things happen to us all at one point or another. I also agree, I think you do deserve that purse :)

WTG on your loss!! That's a great achievement and one that will hopefully keep you on track for those 12 more pounds. As for losing it before the end of the year...I certainly think it's possible! Keep on keeping on

Hard to say what your body is going to do these next 2 months. You may plateau for no other reason that it's your body's way of adjusting.
Be careful with a goal like that. Because if you've only lost 6 pounds by mid-December and you know there's no way to reach your ultimate goal in 2 weeks, you may be tempted to let loose and figure "what the heck!"
That's coming from personal experience. :(

Way to go on the 20 pounds! 12 pounds in 2 months certainly is possible, but don't stress yourself out too much about if you aren't making it. Just try your best and be happy for whatever you do get.

And I'm really super sorry, but I laughed my @$$ off reading about (and envisioning) your injury. I'm sure it was quite traumatic for you, but I enjoyed it thouroughly.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

20 lbs.! GO YOU!!

Do I think you can lose 12.5 lbs in 8 weeks? Yes, I do. But you would have to be SUPER vigilant with your routine...which can be really hard around the holidays. Tiffany, Jan B., and Karen all make great points. You definitely CAN do it, but don't get too discouraged and throw in the towel if you DON'T do it. I hope that makes sense!
